Fourth of July is probably my favorite holiday (although I really love them
all), so I knew I wanted to do something extra special this year since it's
been such a challenging year. We're celebrating all things summer and making
the most of these beautiful months!
I started by laying this pretty
light blue gingham tablecloth
on our table. I like a lighter take on the Fourth of July so this helped keep
things a little softer.
Next I layered in these
wicker chargers
that are so pretty - I love anything wicker, especially in the summertime. On
top I placed a simple white plate,
blue striped napkin
and these sweet raspberry star cookies I found at Trader Joe's, which just
seemed so festive.
For the centerpiece I kept it simple and let the flags do the work. Blue and
white hydrangeas feel so fresh when they're paired with a
wicker vase.
Seagrass wrapped tumblers
are another favorite for entertaining this time of year.
I also set out bowls of fresh cherries, blueberries and strawberries as a nod
to summer and to carry through the red, white and blue colors.
These strawberry sparkling waters were too pretty to pass up, so I displayed
them in a
blue chinoiserie bowl
so guests can grab them and go.
Really this tablescape was pretty simple to put together and would be so easy
to recreate. In fact, if you removed the flags it would work for Easter or
even a baby shower also. Proof that choosing classic pieces goes a long way in
decorating and entertaining!
Hope you have a Happy Fourth!
