Today I wanted to share about my absolute favorite show right now. I'm sure many of you have caught it on HGTV... Fixer Upper with Chip and Joanna Gaines of Magnolia Homes. I. Am. Obsessed. Everything they do is absolutely amazing! I had stopped watching HGTV for quite a while as I didn't connect much with most of the shows. But Fixer Upper has finally hit the nail on the head! I absolutely love Chip and Joanna, their sweet marriage and fun personalities, and how down to earth and real they seem. And their design is completely breathtaking. To say I get a bit jealous of their awesome life and occupation while watching the show would be an understatement : ) They are definitely living my dream - living in a renovated farmhouse, bringing old houses back to life, designing crisp but vintage-inspired spaces and running a darling home decor shop. I mean, could it get any better than that?!
Here is their farmhouse which they have completely renovated. It's simply perfection. They have goats, chickens, gardens, etc. at their home Magnolia Farms in Waco, TX. You can see their full house tour here.
You know her use of white with large architectural salvage pieces is my favorite : )
Her island came out of an old church, which I absolutely love.
I love the way she incorporates Scripture throughout her home. I'm always looking for ways to do this without it looking cheesy or contrived, and she achieves that beautifully.
Love the scalloped zinc side tables and waterfall bedding here. It feels soft and feminine without being too girly for her husband.
The homes they redo on the show are amazing. I have loved each and every project they have worked on. Their ability to rehab even the ugliest of houses is incredible! You can see all their renovations and before and afters here.
This is from a 70s house they redid - I wasn't sure how they were going to save this one from looking like a bad 70s mishap but they did an incredible job and I would move right in!
They redid this darling bungalow for a woman who lost her home in the explosion in West, Texas. It's incredibly charming.
This house was a fairly standard 50s home which they turned into a French Provencial beauty. Can you imagine having that kitchen?!
This home looks so perfectly comfortable to me. Just homey and down to earth but with great style and design. And you should see the befores! They paid $10k for the home which was basically ready to be torn down.
Fixer Upper is on HGTV on Thursdays at 10 p.m. I DVR each episode and I'll admit I've watched them each a couple times! : ) You can visit their website, blog and shop here. Love it all! Have a great weekend!
{live beautifully}
