So, remember the church pew I found? The one that's really a bit too big for our house? Well, I think I came up with a solution!
I turned our little kitchen eating area into a breakfast nook by adding the bench under the shelves.
It actually fits...and I love it!
It adds a lot of vintage character to our little eating corner, and doesn't take up too much room, thankfully.
Almost time for the Halloween decor to come down!
But I'll enjoy it, and our new nook, for just a little longer!

Great idea Courtney! I'm glad it's not having to sit in the garage. :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks like it was meant for that spot!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like it was made for that spot. I love the church pew, I have always wanted one, but they always seem too big, love yours. I have a large bench in our kitchen and I love to change out the color of the cushions to match the seasons. Right now they are boo black.
ReplyDeleteThats a perfect spot for your new pew. Very Cute!
ReplyDeleteAdorei esse banco. E a cor está lindíssima.
ReplyDeleteTenha uma ótima semana.
I guess this means that I won't be trying it in my breakfast nook after all :(
ReplyDeleteIt looks perfect there!!
ReplyDeleteGreat space!
Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSeriously, this is so so cute! My dad is a minister and we had a church pew as a banquette to our kitchen table as a kid. NOW, I wish I had one too. Especially after seeing your painted white. It looks beautiful, as does everything you post. xo

A perfect solution! I have always loved benches at breakfast nooks so I'm loving how yours looks.
ReplyDeleteIt ALL looks fabulous! and I'm wondering which color you used in that room? It's perfect!~Mel
ReplyDeleteLove it. I saw a church pew at the restore a couple of months ago and just stood there and stared at and stared at it. I wanted it so bad, but it was just way too big for our house. I so wish I had just taken the plunge and bought it, as yours looks fabulous!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! It’s cool that every piece looks like they really belong, even though we know pews belong to a much earlier time. They are considered to be classic furniture. And you’ve actually focused on that aspect, setting a charming vintage touch to the whole space. Nice job! :D
ReplyDeleteLooks really great. Very nice looking.
ReplyDeleteAny idea how I could buy that church pew?? It's EXACTLY what I have been looking for forever
