A Rifle Paper Co Inspired Floral First Birthday Party

Here it is guys...you better grab a La Croix, sit back, and get ready for some party pretty, because it's photo overload today! I'm sharing our daughter's dreamy, botanical first birthday and I couldn't love how it came together more. {There's a source list at the verrrrry bottom of the post}

It was so much fun planning this party, and it came together beautifully. I wanted it to feel airy, ethereal, girly and of course, floral.

Oh these cakes...they turned out so perfectly. My mother-in-law has a baking business and made all the desserts. They were amazing!

Her little peach smash cake was just perfect. She was pretty cautious and just picked at it for a bit, but eventually got a few handfuls and had fun.

I ordered the eucalyptus through our local grocery store and then just picked up a few dozen peach and blush roses. The peach garden roses are actually faux (from afloral.com) as they were incredibly expensive to order live. I think they look amazing!

Aren't these little floral cupcake toppers so Rifle Paper-esque?!

Our fireplace turned out so cheery. I used our normal decor, but framed a piece of Rifle wrapping paper and used the botanical print from her nursery to bring in the theme.

I had used the Rifle botanical garland for all her monthly photos, so it was fitting to spell out happy birthday with it on the big day.

Of course of all the new toys she got, I think she liked the giant balloons the best. Figures!

 The drink station with the big flower wall was so fun to put together! I just used a striped curtain from Target as the backdrop, then hung tissue paper flowers to make it pop. I added pretty pink and peach drinks for yummy sipping options.

I lined a simple acrylic try with Rifle wrapping paper, but you could do this with any theme to add an extra layer of detail.

I tried to sprinkle a few fun touches into our regular decor to make it feel festive, like this paper flower garland, and some eucalyptus and roses on the console. The silhouette we had done at Disneyland is also tucked in there.

Above the dessert table I hung an old frame with her monthly portraits strung in it. I love how they look all together and printed in little squares (from Parabo Press). This is such a simple idea you could really do at any party! I just used floral wire to string the greenery and flowers to the frame.

It was such a beautiful afternoon and we soaked up every second of our girl's special day. It was so much fun watching her experience a smash cake and opening presents for the first time. She is so very loved, and it was amazing being surrounded by all the people who love her so well. This past year has been one we will never forget, and it was a fitting celebration of our sweet girl, who lights up our lives in a way we didn't even know was possible.

I have not shown any photos of her here on the blog, but this is a special post, so I thought I'd share a few. You can tell she was having a great time! (Her floral crown can be found here and tutu here)

Below are just some fun detail shots - of course I couldn't help myself taking pictures of everything! Thanks for coming to the party! : )
