Antiquing in Kansas City's West Bottoms

Morning! I'm back from a quick Saturday trip antiquing in the West Bottoms. As I've shared several times before, this is some of my very favorite shopping, happening the first weekend of each month. I haven't had a chance to go up there for quite a while, so I was thrilled to be able to go with my friend Leah and her baby Lauren.

Isn't Lauren about the cutest thing you've ever seen? A beauty just like her mama!

I fell in love with these very large antique wire wall baskets and knew they would be perfect for either side of our dining room door. But sadly, at $50 each it was a bit too steep for me.

Ironstone galore!

This photo doesn't do this trophy at Prize Antiques justice - it was huge! Probably four feet tall at least.

More amazing Prize displays

I loved this rustic farmhouse island...ready with electrical outlets!

This display was amazing - lots of ironstone in an old beadboard cupboard. And of course I purchased that arched window on top. It will be for sale soon in a new venue - more on that later!

I have quite a thing for church pews, and this one outside the new Top Hat Mercantile (the newest venture by the amazing Debbie Dusenberry) was beautiful.

Lauren did great on her first antiquing road trip! 13 hours and hardly a bad moment!

I'll be back tomorrow with a few of my finds!
