Top Ten of 2012

Happy New Year's Eve! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and got to spend lots of time with friends and family. I have been doing exactly that, plus enjoying time off from work and some fun new gifts. If you follow me on instagram you know what I mean : )

Today I wanted to officially welcome the many new followers of this little 'ol blog who have subscribed by email, RSS, Facebook and google friend connect. Thank you so much for taking the time to join me here...I truly couldn't imagine my life without blogging and wouldn't have much of a blog without you guys! And, thanks to Jennifer Rizzo's Holiday Housewalk Party (and Pinterest!) I now have a lot more of you to share with! I thought I would do a couple of posts just to recap our house/my style so you're up to speed on everything : ) The first is a look at the top 10 posts of 2012. Some of these were surprising to me, some were not, but I think it gives you a good glimpse at everything we get to chat about here at Honeycomb Creative Co!

Top Ten of 2012

(click the titles for the full post)

10. Christmas by A Prairie Market
In this post I shared some of the goods I would be selling at the boutique where I'm a vendor, The Cottage Collective. I think I have Pinterest to thank for this post making it in the top 10 - those mason jar snow globes were a total hit, both in the store and on the web!

9. Powder Room Redux
I shared our pretty little bathroom with you guys, and got so much sweet feedback. For a tiny apartment, I do really love the size and layout of our little powder room...looks like you guys did too!

8. Be Mine
This was the first time I'd gotten to photograph our bedroom with my DSLR, and it was all decked out for Valentine's Day.

7. Autumn's Arrival
After a visit to a favorite store, I was inspired to completely recreate our living room for autumn. Naturals and neutrals set the tone for our fall-themed living space.

6. 28 Cents
I made what is probably the greatest score of my junking career and paid just 28 cents for this old wire three-tiered stand. I use it as a display piece in the shop, and even though it's marked, I still get tons of requests from customers to buy it : )

5. The Linen Closet {Small Space Storage}
I have to say, this was one of my favorite projects this year. I completely cleaned out and reorganized the only real storage in our apartment, and it has made life so much easier. Not to mention it looks pretty too!

4. Our Wedding
I'm flattered you guys! I do think this one gets a lot of clicks because it's a "button" on my top navigation bar, but what bride doesn't want to show off her big day? It's still the very best day of my life and I'm honored you guys want to take a peek at all the details!

3. Living Room Refresh
Our living room sure is popular! Again, having a DSLR made all the difference in this first shoot I got to do of the space with the new camera.

2. Our Christmas Living Room Part 1
I got so much web-love on this post, from Pinterest to link parties. Thanks everyone for sharing in our Christmas cheer!

1. Holiday Housewalk Tour
Many thanks to Jennifer Rizzo for hosting the party to end all parties! And thank you to you guys for coming over to take a look at our home all gussied up for Christmas! It was so fun to both decorate and photograph our space, so I'm glad you all enjoyed it!

2012 has been a wonderful, exciting, sometimes-scary, surprising and blessed year. From getting a big promotion at my job to opening a vintage/handmade store and growing my blog, it's been a year packed full of good things. This year has probably been the busiest, most stressful of my life, but it's also been the most rewarding and I've gotten to learn so much about myself, my husband, and the plans God has for me. Thanks for coming along on the adventure! I can't wait to see what 2013 holds for us all!

{live beautifully}
