Our Christmas Cards

I spent a few nights this week addressing and sending out this year's Christmas cards to friends and family. Many of you may know that part of my job in the field of communications is graphic design. So naturally, I designed our own cards this year. I used olive green and gray, along with some of our favorite photos from the year in black and white.

Though you can't tell in the photos, I had them printed on linen paper, my favorite finish because it feels elegant and gives a little dimension to text and photos.

The wreath graphic is by Besotted Blog, and I used my two favorite fonts for the wording (Ecuyer Dax and Nelly Script Flourish). The three photos are from our trip to Atlanta, a recent wedding in Kansas City, and one of my best friend's wedding last spring. All great memories from our second year of marriage!

Part of our gift wrapping this year...silver baker's twine!

Our address stamp was one of the first things I purchased when we were married. I was so excited to have a pretty stamp to address things with!

I guess I shouldn't show your ours with our home address on it : ) It's this design by NoteTrunk on Etsy.

As much as I love everything the web has to offer, there is still something so special about sending pretty paper cards to loved ones at the holidays. What about you, do you still send Christmas cards to friends and family?

  1. These are gorgeous! I'm such a procrastinator with Christmas cards - I haven't even figured out what pictures to use!

Also I want that address stamp. I'll have to go check them out.
    Thanks!
