A Bit of Life and Chocolate Cups

{sneak peek at the shop!}

Well hello there! Did you forget I existed? Other than the weeks before my wedding, the past few weeks have been some of the busiest and stressful of my life! That of course means no time for blogging : ( Don't worry, it's all very good things, but life is crazy nonetheless! For those of you who don't know, I work full-time as a communications professional at a local church. Recently there were some staff transitions at work which left me doing two people's jobs and working overtime. It's a great opportunity for me because I will {hopefully} get the chance for a promotion. But, add to that opening a business in just 3 short days {aaaahhh!!!}, keeping the etsy shop going, working on a few freelance graphic design projects, throwing a bridal shower, and, oh yeah, being married, things have just been nuts. The shop is looking fabulous though and I can't believe it's all coming together so well! We open for a private friends/family event this Thursday so we have to be all ready by then, even though our Grand Opening is not until March 30. I think I'm almost ready!!

Here's a little sneak peek at The Cottage Collective. Sorry about the photo, all I have are pics on my cell phone. But we're having a professional photographer shoot the shop so I'll have lots of pretty pictures to show you soon!

Needless to say, I've done lots and lots of shopping lately for the shop and have come away with some super fun finds. One of my favorites and the most unique are these antique covered chocolate cups.

When I found them I didn't even know what they were, but thought they were so pretty. I decided to bring the home, with no idea if I got a good deal or not, but I couldn't pass up their charm.

Upon further research, I believe they are covered chocolate cups, or pots de cocoa. These were a luxury for the wealthy who sipped drinking chocolate from them. How cool! If you like them too, they're available in the etsy shop ... along with tons of other finds I just loaded. Have a look!

Don't you just love fun finds like that? Have you found anything rare and unique lately?

Thanks for hanging with me while my life changes a little. I think things will even out soon, and I can't wait to get back to blogging regularly! I miss you guys!

Have a great week!
{live beautifully}
Courtney
