January
For the first half of 2011 I was living with my parents as I prepared for my wedding, so the posts were a little lackluster {kinda hard to write a home decor blog when you don't have a home to decorate!}
But I did makeover this little wood cabinet...
February
In February my friend and I threw a pretty sweet little Valentine's party for our girlfriends...
And I learned how to make the most gorgeous of all desserts, French Macarons...
And Matt stole my heart with his sweet gifts on Valentine's Day...
March
In March I created a banner for the desserts table for our wedding...
April
I shared a few details from our gray and white vintage-inspired wedding as they came together...
May & June
Not too much was happening here on the blog, but I did get hitched! {more photos to come, promise!}
July
We returned from our honeymoon and I began to decorate our first little place...
August
I shared the first look at our living room {it's already changed so much!}
And our bathroom tour turned out to be one of the most popular posts of the year
September
In September we installed shelving in our kitchen {still one of my favorite things about our house}
And what seems to be everyone's favorite room {based on comments/page views} our bedroom was revealed...
October
October saw the opening of my etsy shop, A Prairie Market
{vintage cake tin...sold}
As well as a Thanksgiving tablescape in anticipation of Matt and my first holiday season together
November
In November, my besties and I took a road trip together for girls' weekend and had a blast!
I also shared much of our Christmas decor
December
And here we are at December, where we toured our house decked out for the holidays...
And I shared how God has blessed us this year, plus announced the opening of a new shop where I'll be a vendor.
There you have it, 2011 in review. Probably the biggest year in my life so far. But the year you get married will always be very special, I'm sure : )
Thank you again for all your support, comments and friendship throughout my blogging journey! I would not be here without all of you, and I wish you the very best in 2012!
{live beautifully}
Courtney
Hi Courtney,
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful look back on your amazing year!!
Your home is so beautiful and so well put together for being a newlywed. When I was first married, my place was a hodge-podge of horrific hand me down furniture!! Oh the memories. :)
I can't wait to hear more about your shop opening, and best of luck to you!
Have a Happy New Year!!
Sincerely,
Melinda
