Topiary Hunting

Ok peeps, I need your help! I have been eying all these gorgeous, funky topiaries for a while now. I love how they're so organic and rustic looking. I love the ones that aren't quite straight and just have the funny little ball on top, planted in a crusty old pot.

But where on earth do you find things like this? The internet? Specialty plant shops? Only in way bigger and way cooler cities than Wichita, Kansas?? Or do they just come with all the cottages and farmhouses that always seem to have them?

I'm beginning to think all those homes in Country Living have real estate listings that read like this:

"A beautiful country farmhouse built in the late 1800s. This property features original hardwood floors, an updated kitchen with farmhouse sink and large island, a stone fireplace, and an elusive 2.5 foot topiary with one funky ball on top."

Yep, I'm pretty sure that's where topiaries must live, because they sure don't live at Lowe's or Home Depot with the rest of the plants...trust me, I've checked.

So I need your help! Does anyone know where you find one of these things? Do you have one? Would you like to share pictures just so I can drool over it? Any help in this department would be much appreciated!

And while you're sleuthing, I've also been in search of the following:

1. Zinc (???) cake stand (I've seen tons of pictures of these out there in blogland but haven't a clue where to find one.)

2. Wire potting tote (again, lots of pictures, but apparently not carried at Hobby Lobby or TJ Maxx, which means I'm out of luck!)

Heeelllppppp!!!

P.S. I guess I shouldn't complain about my lack of topiaries, because my amazing mama bought me this faux (lavender??) one for Easter and I LOVE IT!! But I'm just so curious about where you get the real deal I can't stand it!

{all pictures except the last (terribly dark, fuzzy, sad-looking...I swear it's cute in person) one are from Country Living}

    Oh I love that zinc cake plate! Think how cute one of those would look in the corner on my kitchen cabinet! (P.S. thanks for helping me paint this weekend!)

    Have you tried a garden center like Johnson's for the topiary? Maybe Twigs, Stems, some other floral shop?

    Mira said....I love the cake stand and six pot planter too. Let me know when you find either of these babies! The topiaries I have I purchased in St. Louis once, but Twigs would be your best bet. Ivan could make one especially for you! Also I have seen a few occasionally at Tuesday Mornings. Ballard Designs has some needs ones, but pricey. I just love those pops of green that moss balls and topiaries provide without needing 'real' plants in the house. (Those typically are not great with a two year old.) Happy shopping.
